It is a boring book to be sure, but I have no doubt this is the most accurate and interesting book anyone could make about President Benjamin Harrison/5(74). The first volume was “Benjamin Harrison: Hoosier Warrior.” This volume covers Harrison’s life from his birth through his Civil War service. The first two-thirds of the book (covering his life before the war) is particularly interesting, humanizing Harrison and providing balance between his public and private lives.
